Laminate flooring is a great choice for those looking for a resilient hard floor without breaking the bank. Laminate flooring is highly durable while being easy to maintain. We’ve chosen to only sell high quality laminate products and all of our laminates carry substantial guarantees as well as being suitable for commercial installations.
We recommend using laminate flooring in living areas and hallways. Laminate is often suggested for kitchens which we don’t recommend as most laminates are water resistant, not waterproof.
Laminate flooring is graded with AC ratings (Abrasion Class). We only sell AC3 and above to ensure all of our laminate meets our customer’s requirements. The AC rating system is as follows:
- AC1 – laminate flooring is designed for residential areas with light traffic. Great for bedrooms.
- AC2 – laminate flooring can withstand more traffic than AC1. Suitable for living rooms and dining rooms.
- AC3 – laminate flooring can withstand any type of heavy residential traffic, such as hallways and may also be used in a professional setting with light traffic.
- AC4 – laminate flooring is designed for commercial applications with moderately intense traffic. Ideal for small shops and offices.
- AC5 – laminate flooring is designed for high-traffic commercial areas like department stores, shopping centres, and office buildings. It has a rough finish that can withstand the most abuse.
